I do not consider myself an artist, although I have more recently begun to dabble in altered art and bookmaking. I enjoy writing, and this last fall I successfully completed NaNoWriMo (I have yet to decide whether to upload my novel online or pursue publishing), but I largely regard myself as a hack. While I am uploading some of my writing and a little altered art projects here, my primary motivation in joining DeviantArt was to collect a lovely gallery of other people's wonderful and inspirational artwork. I live with several artist of varied mediums, all of whom have accounts on DeviantArt, and I admire both their works and the works of others I keep glimpsing over their shoulders on the screen. I will attempt to comment on every piece I favorite, as I'm informed not doing so bothers most people, and I can certainly understand why.
